Basic Training Centre was established in the year 1980 under the Apprenticeship act 1961. It is only ‘Group Training Scheme’ in India which is run by industrial entrepreneurs. This training scheme has been approved by both state & central directorate councils.
Industrial Training Institute was established in the year 1994 and is one of the largest private ITI in the Kolhapur area. The institute conducts a full range of academic activities in the field of Engineering education covering training, teaching and skill development. Industrial entrepreneurs are in Institute Managing Committee hence they focus on holistic development of students by adopting the most innovative and creative dimension to impart quality education and employability skills.
With an intention of Collaborative growth SMAK ITI has signed a Memorandum of Understating (MOU) with Cummins India Foundation, with an objective to initiate Program for Academic Connect and to bridge a gap between industry & academic. It also having an MOU with Mitsubishi Electric India & Federal Bank for CNC & Auto-Cad course under the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibilities) activity.
We are functioning CNC, VMC Programming & Operating courses since 2009 in our institute with in house practical facilities on CNC (Turning) & two VMC machines of both Fanuc & Siemens control with necessity tools & equipment’s. We have also fulfilled with advanced CMM machine, Smart Digital Classroom, AMATROL Kit, Hydraulic & Pneumatic trainer kit it is only one institute in Western Maharashtra which is having these advanced machinery.
